Accurate segmentation of prostate and organ at risk (OAR) is an essential step for the planning in image guided radiation therapy to improve the correctness of the radiation beam over the target structure, avoiding the surrounding organs and tissues. Currently, pelvic organ delineation is manually performed by an expert, but this process as well as being a time consuming labor, it is also difficult because tissue characterization, noise in the acquisition of magnetic resonance images, patient movement and inter and intra expert variability.
