Angélica was born in Villavicencio, Meta. In 2010 she was graduated as a Systems Engineer at the University of the Llanos. For 6 months she made an academic instance at the Universitat Polictécnica de Valéncia, Spain, through a mobility grant COOPEN obtained in 2010. In 2011 she was joined to BioIngenium Research group for her scholarship-internship as Colciencias Young Investigator. In the second half of 2015 she began her postgraduate studies in the PhD of Systems and Computer Engineering at the National University of Colombia in Bogotá. Her interests are the analysis and interpretation of medical images for troubleshooting.
