I am currently a teacher at the School of Medicine and a researher at CIM@LAB, both in the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá Campus.
My PhD was supervised by Dr. Jan Kybic of the Center for Machine perception in Prague and revolved around medical image registration. We were interested in the use of multichannel image information similarity measures based on the Kozachenko-Leonenko entropy estimator and their applications to colposcopy image registration.
My dissertation was succesfully submitted on August 2012 and defended on May 16 2013. It is available from the CMP ftp server (pdf).
The code I wrote for image registration is available as a single tar file under the conditions specified by the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation. Appendix A of my thesis gives a comprehensive description of how to install and run the programs.
