I was born in Bogotá (Colombia) in 1980. I obtained my degree as Engineer in Mechatronics at the Universidad Militar Nueva Granada (Colombia) on 2005. I got my M.Eng. in Computer and Systems Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia where I worked in the Bioingenium research group under the supervision of Eduardo Romero. In 2011 I finished a D.Eng in Mechanical Engineering at Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Brazil) under the supervision of João MaurÃício Rosário (UNICAMP) and José António Tenreiro Machado (I.S.E.P). Currently I am a posdoctoral fellow at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in the Computer Image and Medical Applications Laboratory (CIM@LAB).
